Celtics Defeat Mavericks in Game 3, Take 3-0 Lead

The Boston Celtics are just one win away from capturing the 2024 NBA title after defeating the Dallas Mavericks 106-98 in Game 3 of the NBA Finals.

Celtics Withstand Mavericks' Comeback Attempt

The Celtics took a commanding 3-0 lead in the series with Tuesday's victory, despite facing a spirited comeback attempt from the Mavericks. Dallas rallied from a 17-point deficit in the fourth quarter, but Boston held on for the win behind strong performances from Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.

Tatum led the Celtics with 30 points and 12 rebounds, while Brown added 23 points and 7 assists. Porziņģis was impressive for the Mavericks, finishing with 24 points and 12 rebounds in his return from an ankle injury.

Celtics Dominate Mavericks in Game 1

The Celtics set the tone for the series with a convincing 124-99 victory in Game 1. Boston's defense held Dallas to just 34% shooting from the field, and Tatum led the scoring with 35 points.

Porziņģis made his return in Game 1 but was limited to just 9 points on 2-of-10 shooting. The Mavericks' offense struggled without his usual production.

Celtics on the Verge of NBA Championship

With their 3-0 lead, the Celtics are one win away from securing their 18th NBA championship. Game 4 of the series will take place on Thursday, June 12. A Mavericks victory would force a Game 5, but Boston is the clear favorite to close out the series and hoist the Larry O'Brien Trophy.
